Team History[edit]
The London Rippers were formed in 2012 to play in the Frontier League. The team created some controversy when it unveiled its name and logo in November 2011, both being based on the notorious murderer "Jack the Ripper", who terrorized the poor neighborhoods of London, England in the late 19th century. As could be expected, women's groups said the choice of name was in poor taste. The team ceased operations midway through their inaugural season.
