Biographical Information[edit]
Justin Ramsey pitched three seasons for the independent Long Beach Armada (18-11, Sv, 3.75 in 69 G). He then became a coach, first at the collegiate level, and subsequently at the professional level with the Baltimore Orioles. Ramsey was scheduled to be pitching coach of the Bowie Baysox in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19.

In addition to his regular college coaching responsibilities, Ramsey worked as a pitching coach for multiple collegiate summer league teams. He coached the La Crosse Loggers of the Northwoods League in 2009 & 2010. In 2013 he coached pitchers for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the famed Cape Cod League.
Among the highlights of Ramsey's coaching career, his 2019 ShoreBirds team led the South Atlantic League in ERA (3.00), WHIP (1.18), and strikeouts (1,389), and allowed the fewest home runs (67). The strikeouts represented a new League record for the most strikeouts in a single season. Ramsey received recognition for this success when the League named him their Coach of the Year.
