Biographical Information[edit]
Junpei Horimai has been on the Japanese national team.
After college, he played for Toshiba in the industrial leagues. [1] He was on Japan's preliminary roster for the 2017 Asian Championship but did not make the final cut. [2] He appeared in the Asia Winter League in 2017. [3] He made Japan's squad for the 2018 Asian Games, backing up Shoji Kitamura at 2B and Sho Aoyagi at SS. He was 3 for 5 with a double, two steals, two runs and three RBI, getting all of his hits, runs and RBI in a rout of Thailand. He sat out the Gold Medal Game, which Japan lost. [4]
