Biographical Information[edit]
Shoji Kitamura helped Samurai Japan win the 2017 Asian Championship, hitting .538/.647/1.077 with 7 RBI, 5 runs and one homer in five games. He had 10 putouts, 4 assists and no errors. In the Gold Medal Game, he hit second and played 1B, going 1 for 4 with a dinger off Yen-Ching Lu in a win over Taiwan. He was named the event's All-Star third baseman.
