Biographical Information[edit]

Julian Takeda has been on the Brazilian national team.

He hit .222/.417/.333 in the 2022 U-18 Baseball World Cup, fielding .911 as a C/1B and throwing out 3 of 13 who tried to steal. He drove 3 in their 7-6 win over South Africa. He tied for the event lead with 3 times hit-by-pitch, tied for the most steals allowed and was one shy of the lead in runners thrown out stealing. [1] Making the senior national team for the 2024 South American Championship, he got into one game for the Silver Medalists, as Gabriel Do Carmo and Matheus Lelis did most of the catching. He batted for Lelis during a 10-0 rout of Chile and was retired by Nelson Varas. He then caught the last inning as Luis dos Santos struck out the side. [2]
