Biographical Information[edit]
Juan Melo was in the majors only one season, in the year 2000, when he played 11 games for the San Francisco Giants. He broke into the minors in 1993 and wrapped up his career in the Golden Baseball League in 2010.
Melo was 0 for 12 in the 2008 Caribbean Series but his Tigres del Licey still won a title. Melo had won the 2007-2008 Dominican League batting title at .318.
Melo played with Telemarket Rimini in Italy in 2008.
