Biographical Information

Pitcher Josh Bowman has played in the Oakland Athletics minor league system since 2010 (through 2014).

He was originally drafted by the club in the 49th round of the 2007 amateur draft, but did not sign. He did ink a contract after the A's took him in the 10th round of the 2010 amateur draft. He signed for a bonus of $75,000.

He had solid year in his second professional season, going 8-6 with a 3.55 ERA in 28 starts for the Burlington Bees in 2011. He followed that with a solid 6-win, 3.68 ERA, 130 strikeout performance in 26 starts for the Stockton Ports and Midland RockHounds in 2012.

He began 2014 with the Ports.
