Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Joe Davis played in the minor leagues from 1935 to 1941, playing only part of 1941 as high as class B. He led the 1938 Eastern Shore League with 17 wins (tied w/ John Bassler) and a 2.02 ERA. Davis also led the 1939 Middle Atlantic League with a 2.49 ERA. His 18 wins in 1940 were only one behind the leader of the Northern League that year.
