Jordan Becker

Biographical Information[edit]

Jordan Becker is the older brother of Branden Becker.

A native of San Bernardino, CA, Becker earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cal State San Bernardino in 2014. Becker began his coaching career while still a college student. He was the assistant varsity coach at Cajon High School from 2011-2015. At CHS, he served as the third base coach, hitting coach, and worked with the infielders and outfielders. Becker helped the team to the California Interscholastic Federation playoffs in 2013, 2014 and 2015. He also coached his brother Branden at this time.

Becker moved to the college coaching ranks for the 2016 season with the Riverside City College Tigers. Becker served as the first base coach, hitting coach, and worked with the infielders at Riverside. He helped the team qualify for the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs where the Tigers became the first No. 16-seed in state history to defeat a No. 1-seed in the first round.

In August, 2016 Becker joined the New Mexico State University Aggies as a volunteer assistant coach and coached there for two seasons. Becker served as the first base coach and helped guide the team to a 40-22 overall record in 2018. The Aggies won their first Western Athletic Conference tournament title in program history and made just their fourth NCAA Regional appearance that season. Becker returned to Riverside in the fall of 2018, but did not stay long.

The Cleveland Indians hired Becker for a hitting coach position in the Arizona League in 2019. He started the year with the AZL Indians Red and concluded it with the AZL Indians Blue. He was scheduled to return to the Blue squad in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. Becker was a hitting coach for the ACL Indians in 2021. It appears Becker coached for the newly renamed Cleveland Guardians in 2022, but in what capacity is unknown. He was the hitting coach for the Lake County Captains in 2023 and Akron RubberDucks in 2024.
