Biographical Information[edit]
John Tumminia began his scouting career in 1986 with the [California Angels]] as a bird dog scout. Shortly thereafter, he moved on to the Chicago White Sox. He won the A.B. "Turk" Karam Award in 2008. He signed Tim Bittner, Jack Egbert, Eric Gagne and Josh Rupe. His son-in-law Ben Cherington has been a GM. His daughter is Tyler Tumminia.
