John Pangelinan

Biographical Information[edit]

John Pangelinan pitched very well for the Guam national team that won the Silver Medal in the 2011 Pacific Games. In the opener, he allowed one run in six to beat Jacques Boucheron and New Caledonia; Tommy Morrison closed it out. His other outing, he pitched a complete game six-hitter (1 BB, 5 K) to blank Palau and beat Kalson Dulei. He was 7th in the event in ERA (between Sebastien Lepouriel and Jacques Levy), 7th in IP (between Royce Sadang and Levy), 6th in K (11) and tied for 2nd in wins (with Levy, two behind Joshua Jones). He had previously won Gold in the 2005 South Pacific Mini-Games. As he shares a birthdate with Joseph Pangelinan, they are presumably twins; the two were teammates in junior college.
