Biographical Information[edit]
John Castle made it to the majors at age 31 with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1910. In 3 games, he was 1-for-4. A John Castle managed the Lancaster Red Roses in 1912. After his baseball days he worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He died of pneumonia. Through 2019, the only other major leaguer with the last name Castle has been Don Castle.
