Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Joe Powers spent a great deal of his career in the Evangeline League. He was there in the beginning of his career (1940-1941) and the end of his career (1949-1955). In between he also played four seasons in the Southern Association (1942-1943, 1946-1947) and spent time in the Southeastern League (1948) and Florida International League (1949). Powers had his most success from 1950 to 1952 when he posted records of 21-13, 20-6, and 17-8.
