Joe Jordano
Joe Jordano
Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Jordano has been a college coach for over 30 years. He was at Mercyhurst College from 1988-1997, then went on to the University of Pittsburgh from 1998-2018.
At Mercyhurst he was 283-118, leading the school to the Division II Regionals 5 times in 10 years. At Pitt, he won 97 games from 2002-2005, the best 4-year stretch in school history to that point. His record was 588-522-2 in 21 years at Pitt. He developed future major leaguers Kevan Smith, Ray Black, Matt Wotherspoon, Joe Harvey and T.J. Zeuch. He had done well in the Big East Conference but the team slumped after a move to the Atlantic Coast Conference and with a new athletic director at Pitt, that was it for Jordano.
