Biographical Information[edit]

Jim Clark played 13 games for the Cleveland Indians in 1971, a team which lost 102 games even with star power the likes of Vada Pinson, Graig Nettles, Chris Chambliss, Ray Fosse and Sam McDowell. Primarily an outfielder, Jim started in 1965 with Wytheville, hitting .332 and slugging .523. He hit .300 or better a couple of times for Burlington, once for Leesburg, once for Wichita and once for Omaha, where he outhit George Brett. Clark is one of three major leaguers (through 2019) with the name "Jim Clark"; the others played from 1911-1912 and in 1948.
