Biographical Information

Jeremy Wolf has played in the minors and for the Israeli national team.

Wolf hit .298/.365/.374 as a college freshman, .336/.411/.526 as a sophomore, .395/.489/.585 as a junior and .408/.508/.741 as a senior. He fielded .996 for his collegiate career, making one error. He helped his school win the 2016 Division III College World Series. The New York Mets took him in the 31st round of the 2016 amateur draft; the scout was Ray Corbett.

He was the main first baseman for the '16 Kingsport Mets, batting .290/.359/.448. Wit the 2017 Brooklyn Cyclones, he moved to left and produced at a .241/.308/.313 clip before surgery ended his playing career. He then started a non-profit More Than Baseball to help minor league players, many of whom struggle financially.

Jeremy got Israeli citizenship, as did some other Jewish Americans, to help their bid for the 2020 Olympics. In the 2019 B-Level European Championship, he hit .143/.368/.143 but played good outfield defense (5 PO, 1 A, 0 E) and came up big in the finale against Russia. With the game 3-3 in the 8th, he drew a two-out walk from Andrei Lobanov and wound up scoring the winning run. Israel moved on to the 2019 European Championship Playoff, he was 4 for 8 with 2 homers as Israel routed Lithuania in two games to make their first European Championship. He was 3rd in the event in slugging (behind Simon Rosenbaum and Rob Paller), tied for 2nd in average behind Rosenbaum, tied Assaf Lowengart for 5th in OBP, tied Rosenbaum for the most hits (4) and tied Paller and Rosenbaum for the most dingers.

In the 2019 European Championship, he hit .250/.318/.300 with two RBI in seven games while playing error-free ball in the outfield; he had a better OPS than Ty Kelly, a former major leaguer on Israel's team. His big play was actually a walk, drawing a bases-loaded walk from Jakob Syrén to force in Danny Valencia with the winning run in the bottom of the 9th against Sweden. Israel finished 4th, earning a spot in the 2019 Europe/Africa Olympic Qualifier.
