Biographical Information

Jen-Chieh Hsu played in the CPBL for 2 years.

Hsu was drafted by the Chinatrust Whales in the 5th round of the 2003 CPBL Draft, but he refused to sign. The Whales drafted again in the sixth round of the 2006 CPBL Draft, and he hit .278/.480/.389 in the minor league in 2006. He had a .285/.337/.370 batting line with the big club in 2007, and he tied Sung-Hsien Yang for 10th in steals. He only played 14 games in 2008, then he was then involved in a game-fixing scandal and the league banned him for life.

Overall, Hsu had hit .284/.333/.367 with 93 hit in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
