Jean-Michel Mayeur is a catcher for the Montpellier Barracudas in Division Elite.

He was on the French national team roster for the 2001 European Championship but did not get into a game; Jamel Boutagra and Boris Marche split the catching. He pitched in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, allowing two hits, three walks and two runs (one earned) in 2/3 of an inning. He was a pitcher for France in the 2005 European Championship, posting a 2.70 ERA in three outings; only Samuel Meurant and Patrice Briones had better ERAs for France. In 2007, Mayeur hit .244/.313/.311 and had 15 passed balls in 23 games as Montpellier's starting catcher. He batted .326/.433/.458 in 2008 and scored 29 runs in 39 games; he also smacked 14 doubles. He had 23 passed balls in 35 games behind the dish. He was a member of the Barracudas squad that played in the 2008 Challenge de France. In '09, Jean-Michel produced at a .304/.423/.402 rate with 23 RBI in 24 games to tie Dennis Kelly for the team lead.
