Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Jacob Rogers began his professional career in 2012.

He was drafted three times. First, he was taken by the Boston Red Sox in the 29th round of the 2008 amateur draft out of high school, but opted not to sign. He was then drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 44th round of the 2010 amateur draft, but again didn't ink a contract. He finally came to terms on a deal after being drafted by the Cubs in the 40th round of the 2012 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Billy Swoope.

He hit .326/.462/.507 with four home runs and 27 RBI in 42 games between the AZL Cubs and Peoria Chiefs in 2012. In 2013, he was a Northwest League Mid-Season All-Star after hitting .278/.394/.413 with eight home runs and 47 RBI in 74 games for the Boise Hawks. With the Kane County Cougars in 2014, Rogers hit .268/.361/.445 with 16 home runs and 67 RBI in 129 games. He began 2015 with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.

Rogers became a coach with the Eugene Emeralds in 2018 and AZL Cubs 2 in 2019.
