Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Jabari Henry began his professional career in 2012. He was drafted twice - first by the Texas Rangers in the 39th round of the 2009 amateur draft, and then by the Seattle Mariners in the 18th round of the 2012 amateur draft. The scout was Noel Sevilla.

Though he showed power potential early in his career by slugging .484 in 2012 and hitting 11 home runs in 2013, he did not blossom until 2014. That year, he hit .291/.398/.584 with 30 home runs and 95 RBI in 114 games for the High Desert Mavericks, benefiting from a high-offense environment. He slumped once he reached the mid-minors, however, slashing just .168/.282/.347 in 2014 and .213/.297/.378 in 2016. He did manage 25 home runs and 89 RBI between those two years, however.

He was a Mid-Season All-Star in 2013 and a Post-Season All-Star and MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2014.
