Ivan Korneev (also listed as Kornev) has played for the Moscow North Stars. He allowed five hits, six walks and 12 runs (5 earned) in 2 1/3 IP in the 2003 Baseball World Cup; his 19.29 ERA was not Russia's highest as Rinat Makhmoutov, Alexander Bogatyrev and Artur Donetsky were all higher. He was the starting right fielder for the Russian national team in the 2014 European Championship and did well at .353/.353/.412 with 5 RBI, including 4 against Greece in Russia's first European Championship win in 7 years. He led the team's qualifiers in average and OBP in the event and was second to Nikita Monakhov in slugging and OPS. He led the team in RBI, two ahead of Monakhov.
