Biographical Information[edit]

Ivan Julio has been a minor league pitcher.

Julio signed with the Seattle Mariners in July 2008; the scout was Curtis Wallace. He was 1-0 with a 6.48 ERA and 1.92 WHIP for the 2009 VSL Mariners and improved to 3-1, 2.13 in a return engagement for them in 2010. In '11, he had a 5-2, 2.80 record for the DSL Mariners, his WHIP now down to 1.26. He was back with the DSL Mariners in 2012 and was 6-2 with a 3.11 ERA, walking only 13 in 72 1/3 IP.

Ivan then pitched for the Colombian national team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. His lone outing came against Brazil; when starter Marwin Vega left with an injury after one batter, Julio entered and blanked Brazil (the eventual pool champion) for 2 2/3 innings, allowing 3 hits but no runs. Cristian Mendoza relieved him in the 4th and would take the decision in a 7-1 loss.
