Biographical Information[edit]

Isaiah Harris was a pitcher for the Memphis Red Sox in the dying days of the Negro Leagues.

Harris broke in with Memphis in 1949 and had a 9-4, 3.13 record in 1950. In the 1953 East-West Game, he relieved Sam (Buddy) Woods in the 4th. Harris tossed three shutout innings, allowing two hits and two walks, while striking out one as the West won, 5-1. He was later the winning pitcher in the 1955 East-West Game.
