Biographical Information[edit]
Huan-Hsun Song was a 1B/P for the first Taiwanese national team, at the 1954 Asian Championship. He also appeared in the 1955 Asian Championship, helping them to a Silver Medal. He coached for Taiwan in the 1967 Asian Championship (Bronze) and managed them in the 1975 Asian Championship. He also managed Taiwan's entry in the 1976 Little League World Series. When the Chinese Professional Baseball League was formed in 1990, he was the first manager of the Wei Chuan Dragons. He guided them to a 52-34-4 record then took the 1990 Taiwan Series. Despite winning the first title in the new league, it would be his only season at the reins. He was inducted into the Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019.
