Biographical Information[edit]
Hisashi Koshimoto was a college coach.
Koshimoto played second base for Keio University and later was their head coach from 1926-1934. He won seven Tokyo Big Six University League titles. Following a 1931 visit to the US, he is credited with bringing back some of John McGraw's strategy and tactics to Japan. He was also the author of three books about baseball before his death at age 40. He was the lone inductee to the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1967.
