Biographical Information[edit]

Hilda Bolden-Shorter was a Negro League owner.

Her high school's valedictorian, Bolden-Shorter became a doctor. She worked in Liberia on a medical mission for the International Health Office in 1946-1947. She took over the reins of the Philadelphia Stars after the death of her father Ed Bolden and owned the team from 1950-1952, before selling it to Eddie Gottlieb.
