Heroes Behind the Mask is a book written in 1968 by Milton J. Shapiro and was subtitled America's Greatest Catchers.
Catchers highlighted in the book are: Yogi Berra, Roy Campanella, Mickey Cochrane, Bill Dickey, Gabby Hartnett, Joe Torre, Elston Howard, Roger Bresnahan, Johnny Kling and Ernie Lombardi.
