Henry Williamson pitched as high as AAA.
Williamson was picked by the Baltimore Orioles in the 14th round of the 2007 amateur draft after being scouted by Ralph Garr Jr. He debuted as a pro with the 2007 Bluefield Orioles, going 2-5 with two saves, a 4.13 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 61 innings. He tied for fifth in the Appalachian League in strikeouts.
In 2008, Henry pitched for the Aberdeen Ironbirds (0-1, Sv, 4.76, 34 K in 22 2/3 IP) and Delmarva Shorebirds (2 UER in 6 1/3 IP, 8 K, 2 Sv). He was then traded with Garrett Olson to the Chicago Cubs for Félix Pie. In 2009, Williamson was with the Daytona Cubs (7-4, Sv, 4.93, 87 K in 84 IP) and Iowa Cubs (4.70 in 3 G). His 17 wild pitches led the Florida State League.
