Biographical Information

Haydn Mathee has been on the South African national team.

In the 2018 U-23 Baseball World Cup, he went 1 for 17 with 3 walks, a steal and a run. As South Africa's main catcher, he fielded .971 and allowed 9 steals in 9 tries. His hit was off the Netherlands' Maickel Rietel. In the 2019 Africa Cup Baseball Championship, he was 2 for 5 with 4 walks, 3 RBI and 4 runs as a part-time left fielder for the champs. He tied Lassina Sanfo and Dayle Feldtman for 8th in the event in walks. He was on the announced South African roster for the 2020 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers.
