Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Harrison Wickel led the 1937 Northeast Arkansas League with 124 RBI and the 1939 Mountain State League with 142 RBI. He was the all-star shortstop in the 1936 NAL and the 1939 & 1941 MSL.

Wickel reported to Chapel Hill, NC for Naval training in January 1943.

Wickel was the farm director for the Chicago Cubs from 1952-1954. He later scouted for the Detroit Tigers (1955-1959), St. Louis Cardinals ( -1975) and Cubs (1977-1981).
