Biographical Information[edit]

Harold Northcott played for Team Canada in the 1985 Intercontinental Cup, 1987 Pan American Games and 1987 Intercontinental Cup. He then served as a long-time coach. He was the pitching coach for Canada in the 1993 World Youth Championship and 1994 World Youth Championship (working with Eric Gagne, Ryan Dempster and Jordan Zimmerman). He was pitching coach for Team Alberta when they won a Bronze Medal in the 1997 Canada Summer Games (Alberta's first baseball medal). Northcott was pitching coach for Canada in the 1998 Baseball World Cup, 1999 Pan American Games (winning Bronze Medal, their first ever medal in Pan American Games) and 2001 Baseball World Cup. He coached major leaguers Aaron Myette, Jason Green and Chris Mears in this time. Harold's daughter Heidi Northcott pitched for Canada's women's national baseball team.
