Biographical Information[edit]

Hank Winston pitched in the 1933 American League and the 1936 National League.

With the Philadelphia Athletics in 1933, he was one year younger than teammate Mickey Cochrane and four years younger than fellow pitcher Lefty Grove. Winston was 29 when he made his major league debut for manager Connie Mack.

With the Brooklyn Dodgers managed by Casey Stengel in 1936, Winston was the same age as pitcher Fred Frankhouse.

1933 was a good year for players named Hank - like Winston, Hank Greenberg was a rookie that year, and Hank Leiber made his debut that year.
