Han-lim Choi pitched in the KBO for 7 years.
Choi was signed by the Ssangbangwool Raiders in 1991, and his ERA was 9.22 in 6 games in his first season. He then went 2-9 with a 4.61 ERA in 1992, and he was 5-12 with a 3.92 ERA in 1993. He led the league in homers allowed in that season, and he was 2nd in losses (1 behind Young-jae Sung). Choi slumped to 3-7 with a 6.71 ERA in 1994, then he was traded with Hyuk Yoon to the Samsung Lions for Hyun-wook Kim and Myeong-sun Ryu. His ERA was 3.99 in 26 games in 1995, and he was 2-1 with a 4.76 ERA in 1996. He pitched 12 games with a 5.06 ERA in 1997, then he announced his retirement. He later coached Jeju International University in 1999 and Suncheon Hyocheon High School from 2000 to 2007. Insang High School named him their coach in 2018.
Overall, Choi was 13-33 with a 4.77 ERA, struck out 234 and pitched 454 1/3 innings in 7 seasons in the KBO.
