Biographical Information

Hamidou Sanon was on the Burkinabe national team in the 2019 Africa Cup Baseball Championship. Playing catcher, first, short, third and center, he hit .429/.455/.476 with 4 steals in 4 tries and 5 runs in 5 games. He led Burkina Faso with nine hits and only Hamidou Kafando had a better average among their regulars. Sanon tied Paul Wafula for 3rd in the tournament in hits, one behind co-leaders Shepherd Sibanda and Darren Boltman. His 8 singles led the event.
