Biographical Information[edit]

Hae-chang Lee played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 9 years.

Lee was drafted by the KIA Tigers in the 4th round of the 2006 KBO draft, but he refused to sign. He then represented South Korea in the 2009 Asian Championship, and the Kiwoom Heroes selected him in the 5th round of the 2010 KBO draft. Lee spent most of his first five seasons in the minors, and he was released after the 2014 season. The KT Wiz then signed him, but Lee was placed in the minors again in 2015. He hit .204/.240/.325 in 2016, and he improved to .272/.323/.445 in 114 games in 2017. However, Lee struggled again as his batting line fell to .216/.266/.389 in 2018, and he was 5-for-40 in 2019. The Hanwha Eagles selected him in the second draft (the KBO version of the Rule V draft), and Lee hit .269/.336/.387 in 70 games in 2020. He was 9-for-54 in 2021, and he announced his retirement after the 2022 season. He became the minor league battery coach of the Tigers in 2023.

Overall, Lee hit .224/.274/.357 with 198 hits in 9 seasons in the KBO
