Biographical Information[edit]
After his playing days, Greg Legg started coaching in the Philadelphia Phillies organization with the Clearwater Phillies in 1994-1995 and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons in 1996. He then managed Phillies' minor league teams from 1997 to 2007. In 2008-2013, he was the batting coach for the Lakewood BlueClaws, the Phillies' affiliate in the South Atlantic League, a team which he had managed in 2001. He was scheduled to coach for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to Covid-19.
A member of the Baseball List of Rhyming Names, along with such notables as Don Hahn, Larry Sherry, Paul Schaal, Still Bill Hill, Lu Blue, and Mark Clark.
