Biographical information[edit]

Grant Richardson is a former minor league baseball corner infielder who played professionally from 2004 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2008.

Prior to playing pro ball, Richardson attended Washington State University. In 2002 with them, he hit .245 in 49 at-bats. He improved in 2003, hitting .318 with 13 home runs and 50 RBI in 195 at-bats, and in 2004 he hit .311 with 13 home runs and 68 RBI in 206 at-bats. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 14th round of the 2004 amateur draft.

He played for two teams in his rookie pro season. With the Helena Brewers, he hit .367 with five home runs in 44 games. However, he hit only .223 (albeit, with six home runs) in 28 games with the Beloit Snappers. Overall, he hit .315 with 11 home runs and 59 RBI in 2004. In 2005, he played for the West Virginia Power, hitting .285 with 12 home runs and 55 RBI in 112 games. He didn't play in 2006.

Richardson played in independent baseball in 2007 and 2008, spending the 2007 season with the Coastal Bend Aviators. With them, he hit .301 with eight home runs and 55 RBI in 92 games. He played for the Sioux Falls Canaries in 2008, hitting .322 with 16 home runs and 71 RBI. Following the 2008 season, he retired.
