Goldstar
After the end of World War II a new team, Goldstar, was formed prior to the 1946 season. The team's owner was Komajiro Tamura who also owned Taiheiyo Pacific. The team mostly consisted of former Asahi players, and were managed by team's former manager Michinori Tsubouchi. The team's nickname was "Kinsei" the Japanese translation of "gold star." The team placed sixth and took on the nickname for the following season, becoming the Kinsei Stars.
