Biographical Information[edit]
Komajiro Tamura was a textile wholesaler who sponsored many amateur and professional baseball tournaments. For 17 years, he was an owner in Nippon Professional Baseball and was the owner of the Shochiku Robins when they won the first Central League title in 1950.
Tamura was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970.
