The Shochiku Robins existed for only three seasons (1950-1952). The former Taiyo Robins won the first Central League title in 1950, slipped to the middle of the pack in 1951 then finished last in the Central in 1952. After that season they merged with the Taiyo Whales to form the Taiyo-Shochiku Robins.
