The Taiyo-Shochiku Robins, also Yosho Robins, were a very short-lived team. In 1953 the Taiyo Whales merged with the Shochiku Robins to form the Taiyo-Shochiku Robins. After two years (including a disastrous 32-96 in '54) the team changed its name back once more to the Taiyo Whales after Shochiku pulled out of baseball.
