Biographical Information[edit]
George Enright played in 2 major league games for the Chicago White Sox in 1976. He came in as a defensive replacement on August 8th and caught the last 2 innings of a 7-1 White Sox loss to the Kansas City Royals. On September 7th, he started at catcher and hit 9th in the batting order. He had one official at bat, facing Mike Torrez and reaching on an error by Don Baylor, who was playing first base for the Oakland A's. In the 6th inning, he was pinch hit for by Ken Brett and Wayne Nordhagen took over the new White Sox catcher.
He later became a manager on the Chicago Cubs minor league system.
