Biographical Information[edit]

Gedeon Sambo led the Curacao league in average in 2008, hitting .507/.570/.592 for the Royal Scorpions with 16 runs in 19 games. He fell all the way to .215/.300/.246 in 2009 yet stole 17 bases in 19 games; no other player in the league had more than six as Sambo paced that department by a significant margin. The outfielder was picked to represent the Netherlands Antilles at the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament, joining an outfield with former minor leaguers Ardley Jansen, Arthur Bonevacia and Lorvin Louisa.
