Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Garry Templeton, Jr. was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in the 49th round of the 1999 Amateur Draft. He spent two seasons in the Angels system, topping out in A ball before spending the next seven seasons in the independent leagues. His minor league totals are .217/.284/.258.

He is the son of former big league shortstop Garry Templeton. His coaching career began during the 2009–2011 seasons under his father as a hitting and bench coach for Long Beach Armada, Chico Outlaws and Na Koa Ikaika Maui. In May of 2012, he became the manager of the Hawaii Stars of the North American League. In 2014, he became the manager of the Vallejo Admirals of the Pacific Association where he would earn Manager of the Year. In 2016, he became a scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
