Tito Fuentes Jr.

From BR Bullpen

Tito Fuentes Jr. is the son of Tito Fuentes. Born in the Dominican Republic, he traveled around baseball circles with his father and was given tryouts by a couple of teams in the Dominican Summer League, although he never actually played there. His career ended early because of an injury, and he turned to coaching.

He operates the "Tito Fuentes Baseball Academy" as a non-profit baseball instruction organization. He has served as an assistant coach for Sonoma State University and has been a manager in the independent leagues.

In 2013, Fuentes Jr. was a bench coach for the Vallejo Admirals of the Pacific Association. On July 11, Guerrero resigned when the Admirals were suspended by the league due to financial problems. On July 23, the Admirals resumed play and Funtes Jr. was named interim manger. Funtes Jr. returned as a bench coach for the 2014 season but resigned on July 18. In 2018, he was named manager of the Napa Silverados. In 2021, he was an assistant coach for the Williamsport Crosscutters of the MLB Draft League.
