Biographical Information[edit]
Garnet Bush began his professional umpiring career in 1909 in the Three-I League and Southern Michigan League. He moved to the Texas League in 1910, also umpiring games in the Southern Michigan League and the American Association. He was back in the Texas League in 1911, but before the end of the year was working National League games. He continued to work in the NL in 1912, but exclusively as a base umpire (he had worked home plate a few times in his rookie season. In 1913 went down to the Pacific Coast League.
In 1914, he was back in the majors in the first season of the Federal League, but in 1915 he was in the Northwestern League. He was suspended for part of the 1916 season and then was in the Western League in 1917. That was his last season, as he died late in 1919.
