Gabriel Clovier pitched for the Brazilian national team in the 2016 South American Championship. Starting against Chile, he allowed 5 hits, 3 walks and 7 runs (3 earned) in 3 2/3 IP; Vitor Souza took over and Brazil wound up winning, 21-8, Clovier getting a no-decision in his lone outing. Only Guilherme Domingues had a higher ERA for Brazil in the round-robin phase. Brazil won the Gold Medal.
