Biographical Information[edit]
Gabe Cramer has pitched in the minors.
He was 3-3 with a 2.22 ERA as a high school senior but missed his freshman year of college due to Tommy John surgery. He allowed one run in 1 1/3 IP in 2014. He was 0-3 with 3 saves and a 3.60 ERA in 2015. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by Kansas City Royals scout Dan Ontiveros.
He pitched that summer for the Burlington Royals (1-2, 7.42 in 9 G) and AZL Royals (1-1, Sv, 1.93). He struck out 25 in 18 innings, though. In 2016, he had the second-best K rate among Royals farmhands, whiffing 57 in 43 2/3 IP for the Lexington Legends. He was 3-2 with four saves and a 4.12 ERA in 27 outings.
Cramer and his 97-mph fastball then made the Israeli national team for the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
