Biographical Information[edit]

Fu-Jen Shen has played in the CPBL for 6 years.

Shen played for Taiwan in the 2004 World University Championship, 2005 Asian Championship (a Silver Medal), 2006 World University Championship (being named the All-Star 1B) and 2006 Haarlem Baseball Week (4 for 16). He was picked 4th overall in the 2006 CPBL draft, going to the Sinon Bulls. He was 4-5 with a 4.14 ERA as a rookie in 2008. In 2009, the righty was 1-2 with 3 saves and a 4.07 ERA. He was 1-0 with a 1.36 ERA in 2010, but hurt his shoulder and required surgery. Shen then moved to the field, becoming a 1B-3B. He hit .277/.299/.292 in 25 games for the 2012 Bulls, and he only played 14 games with a .333/.368/.417 batting line in 2014. He then announced his retirement after the 2014 season.

Overall, Shen was 6-7 with a 3.62 ERA, struck out 94 and pitched 189 innings in 3 seasons in the CPBL.
