Biographical Information

Freddy González was 1-6 with a 4.80 ERA as a redshirt sophomore at Warner University in 2021, fanning 66 in 60 innings. He then pitched for the Colombian national team in the Americas Olympic Qualifier. He got into one game, relieving Leonardo Castro in the 7th with a 14-2 deficit against Cuba. He retired Yadir Drake on a grounder and struck out Erisbel Arruebarruena. Raico Santos homered, then Freddy hit Iván Prieto. Yordan Manduley singled and Roel Santos doubled to make it 16-2 then Yadir Mujica grounded out. The game ended at the end of the inning due to the mercy rule.
